Unlike other 356A replicas that offer flared fenders the mid engine Super Speedster differs in several ways:

• The body flares are not garish - they are blended gracefully with the body lines.                                                                                                                                                                                                   

• The wider track is not accomplished by just putting on some reverse rims as others do -   the Super Speedster suspension is actually widened providing a true wider track.

  • Reverse rims create adverse loading on the VW pan ball bearings for which they were not designed.  These undesirable offset loads will cause premature bearing failure.

   

  • Reverse rims also upset the alignment specifications of the VW suspension causing erratic handling and braking.

                                                              

  • Super Speedster wider track is not created by reverse rims -  the bearings are double caged roller bearings designed for greater loads and offsets. (300+ hp and 3800# cars)
